…"I'm full of love. And it's all for you." They lay down together, and Dale held her in the dark. The rain started again, a gentle patter on the roof, and he listened to it as he drifted off to sleep, her heartbeat a steady rhythm against his chest. In the morning, he would find her sitting on the patio, the notebook open in her lap, tears streaming down her face. She would look up at him and say, "I never knew you could write like this." And he would say, "I never knew I could love like this." But that was tomorrow. Tonight, there was only the rain, and the warmth of her body, and the quiet certainty that this was exactly where he was meant to be.
