A giant cardboard fort!” Her mother managed a weak smile. “Maybe later, Nora. For now, let’s go find some actual rice, shall we?” Nora nodded enthusiastically, and together, they began to dismantle Nora’s cardboard culinary dreams, the aroma of potential fried rice replaced by the faint scent of old paper and ink. The quest for cardboard rice was over, but the adventure of Nora’s cooking was far from finished.
