…When Mikutis opened his eyes, he and Jonas were standing in a small garden at the top of the tower. Stars surrounded them, close enough to touch. The seed was gone, but a new light bloomed in the sky above the farm—a golden thread stitching the crack closed. The star cat, watching from the hill, let out a long breath. The sky was healing. But as Mikutis and Jonas looked around for a way down, they heard a new sound—a low rumble from below the tower. The ground trembled, and a deep voice boomed: “Who has taken the seed from the Heart of the Sky? The balance is broken. The old guardians wake.” Mikutis and Jonas exchanged a look. Their journey was not over yet.
