And where ours may begin.” Mikutis felt a shiver run down his spine. The tower seemed to call to him, a silent invitation. He took a step forward, then stopped. Behind them, the gate shimmered and closed. There was no going back now. “Well,” he said, his voice steady. “I guess we keep walking.” And together, the four of them—a cat, a boy, a fox, and a ghost—started toward the black tower, not knowing what they would find, but knowing they would find it together.
