…He knew it would take time, but he was determined. He would be extra good. He would be extra helpful. He would be extra cheerful. He would do everything he could to help his mom get her sparkle back. He looked at his mom, really looked at her, and a new feeling bubbled up inside him. It wasn’t just love, though there was plenty of that. It was also admiration. His mom, even when she was sick, was still so strong, so kind, and so loving. She was his hero. And he would do his very best to be her little helper, her brave knight, until she was all better. He knew, deep down, that his mom was strong enough to fight any sickness, and he was here to cheer her on every step of the way.
