…He carefully selected his brightest crayons. He would draw his mom, but not just any mom. He would draw his mom as she was when she was happy and healthy. He would draw her with her sparkling eyes and her big, beautiful smile. He would draw her surrounded by sunshine and rainbows, the way she made his world feel. As his crayon scratched across the paper, a new kind of mission began. It wasn't about finding treasure or fighting monsters. It was about showing his mom how much he loved her, and how much he wanted her to feel better. He knew, deep down, that this was a very important mission indeed. He just hoped it would be enough.
