…As he thanked the villagers and began to make his way towards the indicated hill, he couldn't shake the feeling that the Morris dancers, with their bells and ribbons and infectious laughter, had given him something more than just directions. They had, in their own chaotic way, given him a glimpse of what it meant to embrace the unexpected, to find joy in the sheer, unadulterated silliness of life. And for a man on a quest for a Giggle Gem, that felt like a rather good start. He just hoped the hermit didn't communicate solely through interpretive dance. That, he suspected, would be a step too far, even for him.
