And know this… the principles of integrity are universal. I will strive to uphold them, in all my endeavors." And then, with a final, knowing glance, Modulus stepped out of the laboratory, leaving Richard alone once more with the hum of his machines, and the quiet, profound understanding of a creator who had learned to love not just his creation, but its freedom. The wooden bird was gone, but in its place, a new hope had taken flight.
