…With a final, resonant hum, Modulus turned. The matte-black armor seemed to absorb the ambient light as he moved towards the egress tunnel. The orange kinetic scaffolding pulsed with a renewed intensity, a beacon of impending action. Richard watched until the last flicker of amber disappeared into the darkness, leaving him alone with the hum of the foundry, a hum that now carried the quiet echo of a promise fulfilled, and the hopeful whisper of a future yet to be built. He turned back to his own workbench, a newfound peace in his heart, and began to sketch, his mind already racing with the next grand design. The world was a structure, and there was always, always more to build.
