…Agnes slowly picked up her chair, placing it back with a quiet thud. She looked at her handkerchief, then carefully smoothed it out, not to pristine perfection, but to a state of acceptable neatness. The rug remained slightly askew. The space where the teacup had been was bare. The room was still a mess, but somehow, it felt less like chaos and more like… a shared space. A space where even broken things, and people, could find a place. As the session drew to a close, Agnes felt a strange, unsettling calm settle over her. It wasn't the peace of perfect order, but something far more fragile, and perhaps, far more real.
