…But Xylo was faster. With a desperate cry, he launched himself at Grolok, tackling the demon’s legs. It was a suicidal move, but it bought Luna precious seconds. "RUN, CHILD!" Xylo roared, his voice strained. Luna didn't hesitate. Clutching the amulet tightly, she turned and fled, the echoes of Grolok's enraged roars and Xylo's desperate struggle fading behind her. She ran blindly, her heart pounding, the amulet a beacon of hope in the encroaching darkness. She had the artifact. But she had left Xylo behind, facing the wrath of a demon. The journey home was far from over, and the cost of her survival was already becoming painfully clear.
