Love at the first sight 😍

…And in that moment, amidst the lingering scent of coffee and the faint dusting of sugar on Beatrice’s croissant, Arthur Pumble knew that his love at first sight had indeed been a love at first spectacle. And for the first time, he didn’t feel embarrassed by it. He felt… seen. And he had a sneaking suspicion that this hilariously chaotic beginning was leading to a surprisingly delightful, and perhaps even sweet, end. The toothpick aqueduct in his garden suddenly seemed a lot less daunting. After all, if he could survive a sugar avalanche and Beatrice’s amused gaze, he could probably build Rome. Or at least, a very impressive miniature Roman aqueduct.
