…The unexpected detour through Pip’s tiny tunnel had been a little scary, a little inconvenient, but they had made it through. And now, in this small, peaceful clearing, with a bit of food and the company of good friends, the adventure continued. Barnaby let out a soft sigh, a sense of satisfaction warming him. The Golden Bone was still out there, somewhere, but for now, this unexpected discovery was a treasure in itself. He watched Pip, who was now happily digging in the moss again, her small paws creating a miniature landscape. He wondered what other secrets she might unearth, and what other adventures awaited them, just beyond the next bend, or perhaps, through the next tiny tunnel.
