…This was the man I was meant to be. Not a man of grand pronouncements or earth-shattering deeds, but a man of quiet love, of unwavering faith, a vessel for the Living Water. The old urges, the old desires, the old fears, they were like faded photographs, reminders of a life that was no longer mine. My present was defined by the enduring love of Christ, and my future, the most comforting thought of all, was the promise of being home in heaven, forever bathed in that divine, life-giving light. The journey was far from over, but I walked it with a lightness in my step and a song in my heart, knowing that I was no longer lost, but found, and deeply, truly loved.
