…“He’s coming!” Zion urged, his voice sharp with urgency. They scrambled into the boat, pushing it out into the water. As they rowed away from the hidden cove, Lily looked back at the shore, at the mouth of the cave, and a shiver ran down her spine. Her father would be left to his greed, alone with the vast, untouched treasure, a prisoner of his own avarice. The Isle of Forgotten Gold would remain just that, forgotten by all but a brave girl and the boy who had saved her. The sun was beginning to dip towards the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple, a beautiful backdrop to their daring escape. The adventure was far from over, but for now, they were free.
