…“Okay,” she said, her voice gaining a little strength. “I’ll come with you, Zion.” Zion’s smile widened, a genuine flash of warmth that chased away the last of Lily’s fear. “Good,” he said. “Come, then. The Isle of Forgotten Gold has many secrets, but not all of them are meant for greedy hands.” He turned and began to walk, and Lily, with a newfound sense of purpose, followed him, leaving the shimmering hoard and her treacherous father behind in the echoing silence of the cavern. The adventure, she realized, was far from over, but now, she wouldn’t face it alone.
