He felt a warmth spread through him, a feeling that had nothing to do with the perfect muffin and everything to do with the shared laughter, the unexpected confessions, and the comforting presence of friends who could find joy even in a cup of salt. The universe, it seemed, had a peculiar sense of humor, and Arthur was finally starting to appreciate the punchline. He even allowed Bea to take a picture of him holding the salty muffin, a small, shy smile playing on his lips. It was, he conceded, a rather funny story.
