…Eron and Liora were waiting. Eron was leaning on his sword, bleeding from a cut on his arm. Liora was tending to a wounded rebel. "Is it done?" Eron asked. "It's done." Liora smiled. "I knew you could do it." "I had help." We stood there, looking at the palace. It was no longer twisted and dark. It was just a building, old and empty. "What now?" I asked. "Now we rebuild," Eron said. "But first, we rest." I looked at my hands. The light was still there, but it didn't burn anymore. It was warm. Like the sun. "Yeah," I said. "I think I'd like that." We walked away from the palace, together, into the light.
