She had thought she could have done better, but now, she was left searching for the lost moments, the precious time they had missed. She would tell them now, and she would tell them forevermore, that she was sorry for the weight they had carried, for the burden they had borne. She should have done better, she knew it was true. She was so, so sorry for not protecting them.
