…Pip and Fern skidded to a halt beside them, drawn by the commotion. Pip cheered. Fern giggled. Owlette watched Squirrel’s unadulterated joy, and felt a warmth bloom in her chest, more satisfying than being right. Asking had been the right answer. It had led to this shared happiness. As the friends scattered, resuming their games, Owlette realized something profound. Answers in the wild, she thought, were like marshmallows – soft, sometimes sticky, and always better when shared. A happy flutter stirred within her, a feeling of contentment. What other mysteries waited for tomorrow, and what new ways would she discover to solve them, perhaps not alone, but with her friends?
