A black SUV crashed through the lab, sending debris flying. Men in tactical gear poured out, weapons raised. Vance's voice boomed over the chaos: "Everyone on the ground!" Marcus grabbed Maya and dove behind the cold storage unit as gunfire erupted. Derrick vanished in the smoke. When the noise died, a figure stepped through the hole in the wall. A man in a tailored suit, calm and poised, holding a tablet. "Marcus Reed. I've been looking forward to meeting you." The man smiled, and the lights flickered out.
