Dennis Longshun’s voice, devoid of emotion, commanded the retreat. The invasion had served its purpose; it had drawn the attention of SuperSeven, the Ultimate Hero himself. With a final, sickening shimmer that warped the very air, Tidalthree, Blackjack, Darkdrake, the four fallen Midnight Eves, and the abducted Billy vanished. The city was left in stunned silence, a lingering dread settling over its scarred landscape. The invasion was over, but the true source of the trouble had merely revealed itself.
