…The alley, moments before a scene of desperate struggle, now held a charged silence, broken only by Billy’s ragged breaths. The sun had dipped below the horizon, casting the alley in deep shadow, but the faint, otherworldly glow of the Sword of Slayers illuminated Billy’s determined, yet bewildered, face. He had faced his fear, his inadequacy, and in doing so, he had unlocked something extraordinary, something powerful, and perhaps, something dangerous.
