…“You… you saved us,” Judas stammered, the pride in his voice warring with a newfound humility. Jesus placed a hand on his brother’s shoulder. “We saved each other, Judas. And we will save this land. Together.” He looked out at the survivors, their faces turned towards him, their eyes alight with a dawning hope. “This is not the end,” Jesus declared, his voice carrying across the silent plains. “This is a new dawn. And I have returned to lead you home.” The wind seemed to pick up, carrying his words like a promise on its breath, a promise of a future rebuilt from the ashes, of a king who had returned not just to conquer, but to heal.
