And with Barnaby by his side, a small, brave spark began to glow within him, pushing back the shadows of his fear. He took a deep breath, a shaky one, but a breath nonetheless. “Okay, Barnaby,” Squeaky said, his voice still a little wobbly, but with a new resolve threading through it. “Okay. I’ll try. I’ll be your darting shadow.”
