…The presence would pause, the spectral tapestry momentarily stilling. A profound silence, deeper than any I had known, would descend, pregnant with unspoken words. Then, the voice, softer now, laced with an ancient weariness, would reply, "Only this, Amy. Your tears have watered the seeds of memory. Your verses have given form to the formless. You have already shown me the way. You carry the weight of your own sorrow, and in doing so, you have shown me how to finally set mine down."
