She was suspended in this state, a mourner in perpetual vigil, the weight of their absence a hollow ache that resonated through her very core. Could she ever escape this eternal echo? Or was this immersion in mortality, this profound communion with the departed, the very path she needed to tread before any semblance of peace could find her? The question hung in the air, unanswered, as the darkness outside deepened, and the echoes within grew ever louder.
