…The act of writing, of articulating the inexpressible, had been a necessary step, a painful yet vital processing of her loss. But as she sat there, surrounded by the spectral presence of her lost love, the question loomed, vast and shadowed: could this intense focus on doomed romance ever lead to true healing, or was she destined to remain forever within the suffocating embrace of the raven’s shadow? The final image settled in her mind: Amy, her face etched with a profound, sorrowful beauty, holding a single poem, her knuckles white, as the shadows in the room seemed to coil and deepen around her, mirroring the inescapable darkness that had taken root within her soul.
