…I started to write, hesitant at first, then with a growing urgency. I wrote about a boy who walked into a school and into my thoughts, a boy who seemed to belong to a different time, a different story. I poured my burgeoning infatuation onto the page, careful to keep it veiled, to make it poetic, not childish. It was a secret I held close, a whispered confession to the ink and paper, a silent declaration of a new path I was already beginning to tread, even if I didn't fully understand where it led. The gates of adulthood had opened, and already, my heart had found a new, exhilarating, and utterly unexpected adventure.
