…The floating cars settled to the ground with metallic groans. The bent lampposts straightened, albeit with a slight wobble. The unnatural purple hue of the sky began to fade, replaced by the dull grey of a post-apocalyptic dawn. Life, battered and bruised, was beginning to reassert itself. Lena looked down at DJ, who was now sleeping peacefully in her arms. The child’s small hand twitched, and for a fleeting moment, the air around them shimmered with a faint, golden light. The energy was still there, dormant, waiting. The anomaly was stabilized, but it was not gone. And the future, with DJ at its heart, remained an enigma, a promise of wonders yet to come.
