…"Flight," the display read, in English, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi. "Flight. Flight." Eva stared at the screen, her mind racing. The coordinates led deeper into the void, to a region of space she'd never charted. Whatever had sent this message had wanted someone to find it. And it wanted them to run. Behind her, the derelict's power core flickered to life, a low hum that vibrated through the deck. The console's display changed, the warning replaced by a single, pulsing dot. It was a sensor reading. Something was approaching. Something fast.
