…The silence that followed was not the oppressive silence of dread, but the charged silence of decision. They were trapped between a human siege and a cosmic predator. Conventional escape was impossible. But perhaps, just perhaps, by weaponizing the monster, by turning the oppressors' own arrogant gaze toward a spectacle that would ultimately devour them, they could finally achieve their absolute freedom. The unblinking eye of the entity watched from above, a silent, terrifying arbiter of their fate, unaware that its own insatiable hunger was about to be turned to a purpose far grander, and far more destructive, than it could ever comprehend.
