The unmistakable sound of something massive, something monstrous, moving through the undergrowth. The Trolls. They were close. The Huldra’s song and the Troll’s lumbering approach converged, a symphony of danger playing out in the heart of the silent woods. Ingrid’s heart hammered against her ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the encroaching darkness. She was walking into a trap, a nexus of ancient evils, and she was utterly, terrifyingly alone.
