…He nudged Whiskey forward, the rhythmic beat of the horse’s hooves a steady counterpoint to the quiet contemplation in his mind. The journey ahead was long, stretching out before him like an unwritten page. The land demanded resilience, and Silas, with the dust of the canyon still clinging to him, was ready to meet its demands. The sun dipped below the horizon, leaving behind a sky dusted with the first tentative stars. Silas McGraw, the lone cowboy, continued his path, his determination as unyielding as the land itself.
