…He walked out of the room, leaving behind the stale air and the ghosts of his past. The sun, when it hit his face, felt surprisingly warm, almost forgiving. He didn’t know what the journey ahead would look like. He knew it would be messy. He knew it would be hard. But as he walked towards the address on the flyer, a faint, almost imperceptible smile touched his lips. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance to trade the goblin's brew for something a little more… normal. Like competitive cheese rolling. His parents would probably appreciate that. It sounded significantly less likely to land him in a ditch.
