But for now, she had her children, Flanan by her side, and a fragile hope that flickered like the embers before her. She reached into her pocket and touched the feather, its warmth a steady reassurance. The road ahead would be long and dark, but she would walk it. She would fight. She would protect her family, no matter the cost. As the fire died down, Tee finally allowed herself to close her eyes, the lullaby still echoing in her heart. For the first time in weeks, she dreamed of light.
