…It wasn't the end of the war, not by a long shot. The scars of neglect ran deep, and the forces of oppression were still powerful. But for the first time, I felt a profound sense of empowerment. The liberation, I realized, began not with grand pronouncements or external aid, but within the quiet chambers of our own minds. It was in the reclaiming of our narratives, the rediscovery of our inherent worth, the courage to stand up and say, “We are capable. We are resilient. We are African.” The fight was far from over, but with a growing movement and a fire in my belly, I was ready. The journey had just begun.
