…As Bishop walked out of the inn, the night air felt colder, sharper. The immediate threat in Whisper was gone, the werewolves were safe, and the villagers could resume their lives. But the victory felt hollow, tainted by the knowledge that the true evil wasn’t lurking in the shadows of the forest, but within the hallowed halls of the institution he served. The path ahead was suddenly much murkier, and Bishop Dark, for all his excesses, felt a grim determination settle in his gut. He was a hunter of evil, after all. And sometimes, the most dangerous prey wore the robes of righteousness.
