…He crumpled the parchment in his fist, the rough edges digging into his palm. The werewolves weren’t the threat. They were the scapegoats. And he, Bishop Dark, had been sent to hunt them. The irony was so bitter, it tasted like bile. He turned back towards Whisper, his mind racing. He had the proof. Now he needed to expose the truth. And that meant confronting the real monster. A monster that, he suspected, would be far harder to burn with Soul Sun than any beast of the night. This was a reckoning, and it was going to be messy. Very, very messy.
