…As we finally stumbled out of the alley and back into the relative safety of the neon-drenched streets, the weight of what had happened pressed down on me. I had saved myself, saved Kael, but I had also revealed a part of myself that was both powerful and deeply unsettling. The Crimson Moon’s shadow was deepening, and I was beginning to suspect I was standing right in its path, a pawn in a game I didn't understand, armed with a power I couldn't yet command.
