…Slowly, deliberately, I tilted my head, a subtle shift in my posture. I let my gaze harden, a predatory gleam entering my eyes. I practiced the slight curl of my lip, the one Taji had worn as he’d advanced on Liann. It felt natural. It felt… right. A small, almost imperceptible gesture, but it was a conscious embrace of the mirrored persona. The hunger, once a source of terror, now felt like a promise. A promise of satisfaction.
