…The fluorescent lights still hummed their dull tune, but to Miku, it sounded a little less monotonous now. It was like a new melody was starting, a quiet, hopeful harmony that promised something more. And as she walked beside Leo, a boy who saw the magic in her drawings, Miku felt a tiny spark of courage ignite within her. Perhaps being "too anime" wasn't a flaw at all. Perhaps it was just… her. And maybe, just maybe, that was a wonderful thing. The thought settled in her heart, as warm and comforting as the ink bleeding onto paper, and for the first time in a long time, Miku felt like she might not be so alone after all.
