…She vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving only the echo of her laughter. Lyra lowered her bow. "What was that?" "A warning," Morwen said grimly. "And a threat." Aaron looked at the temple ahead. The shadow whispered, loud and insistent. Go. Claim the Heartstone. Destroy the Lord. Become the shadow. He gripped his sword tighter. "We keep going." They walked toward the temple, the crystal shard glowing warm against his chest. The sky darkened, and thunder rolled across the wasteland. The storm was coming. And with it, the final battle.
