The Keeper’s whisper was gone, replaced by the steady pulse of the falls. She was still a hybrid, still caught between two worlds. But now she knew—she didn’t have to choose one. She could hold both, and the mark she carried would keep them safe. The chapter ends with Elara walking home beside Lyra, the weight of the mark a comfort rather than a chain, and the distant sound of the Keeper’s fury like a storm on the other side of the horizon.
