She didn't know who wrote it, but she felt the magic in the ink, a low hum that matched the falls. Thorne's words echoed in her head: This isn't over. She looked out the window. The sun was rising, painting the falls in shades of gold and pink. The town woke up, oblivious. But Elara knew. Something was coming. And this time, she'd be ready. She folded the note and tucked it into her pocket. The bridge was waiting.
