…It was the smile of someone who had just taken her first, tentative step onto a long and arduous path, a path that led away from the shadows and towards the faint, but undeniable, promise of light. The journey ahead would be long and arduous, filled with more pain, more fear, and more uncertainty. But for the first time in a very long time, Stephanie Jo didn’t feel entirely alone. She had found a voice, however small, and in that voice, the possibility of healing began to take root. The wounded heart, still beating with the echoes of trauma, had finally begun to stir, seeking solace, seeking mending, seeking a future where its scars might one day tell a story of survival, not defeat.
