…--- That evening, Sterling sat in the back of a prison transport van, his wrists cuffed but his spirit unbound. Through the small window, he watched the city lights blur past. He knew Helena would be waiting, ready with her lies. But he also knew the truth. And for the first time in months, he believed it might be enough. The van pulled up to a nondescript building. As the door opened, a cold wind hit his face. He stepped out and saw Lina standing across the street, her coat pulled tight, her eyes meeting his. She nodded once. He nodded back. Together, they walked toward the entrance of the Family Justice Council chambers, where the final battle would begin.
