…As she worked, the sun set outside her window, painting the sky in shades of orange and red. Somewhere in the work camp, Elara was lying on a hard bunk, staring at the ceiling, counting days until she would see her son again. Lina would not let her down. She typed until her fingers ached, then kept going. Tomorrow, she would file the motion. Tomorrow, she would find a way to bring the truth to light. Tomorrow, she would fight. But tonight, she allowed herself a moment to close her eyes and breathe. And in that moment, she imagined a world where the system worked, where justice was blind, and where Elara came home to Leo, free at last. It was a world worth fighting for.
