…I have walked these thirteen places, and I have listened. And I have come to understand that the most haunted place in New Orleans is not a mansion or a cemetery. It is the heart of anyone who has ever loved this city. Because once you have felt its pulse, you can never quite leave. A part of you stays behind, walking the moonlit streets, listening for the next story. And so, for now, I will close my notebook. The shadows are gathering, and the gaslights are beginning to glow. There are more stories to be told, more corners to explore, more ghosts to meet. But that, my dear reader, is a tale for another night. Pleasant screams.
