…It was close. Too close. He could almost taste the fear in the air. He looked back one last time, his flashlight beam cutting through the darkness. And there, for just a fleeting second, he saw it. A pair of eyes, glowing with an ancient, malevolent light, staring back at him from the depths of the woods. Then, they were running again, a desperate, ragged flight through the suffocating darkness, their only goal to escape the silent, watchful sky and the horrors that lurked beneath it. The woods seemed to stretch on forever, an endless labyrinth of shadows and whispers, and with every pounding step, Leo knew that their camping trip had become a fight for survival.
